This is my first time doing a 'five favourites' post (I think...). I usually stick to lifestyle posts these days, but as fashion is one of my passions, I decided to start publishing more fashion-specific posts. And I genuinely feel like I need to address my obsession with coats... seriously, it's an actual obsession. To the point where I can't even fit them all in my wardrobe anymore, so I've started to take over other rooms in the house with them. I just counted and my current collection stands at twenty one coats. And I just recently had a huge clear-out when I moved home and gave loads to charity, so before then there were even more. I really feel like in A/W, the coat makes the outfit. Each season has so many good coat trends to try, and this one was no exception.
1. THE PUFFA COAT
This is one I never thought I'd be mentioning in this post until recently, because for ages I thought I couldn't 'pull them off' (read why I'm saying 'screw you' to the idea of 'pulling off' an item here). But now I'm legit obsessed, even if I do look a bit like a giant marshmallow in one. But they're so warm that they're honestly worth investing in - this grey puffa is the warmest coat I own and is gonna be a lifesaver when I head to New York in a few days. Plus, it's available in loads of colours on the UO website.

2. THE SHEARLING COAT
This one was seriously a close contender after my own heart. Most shearling (faux, might I add) coats are amazingly warm for the cold winter nights and look super trendy. While last season coats were mainly just lined with shearling on the inside, I'm liking how this season shearling has been a lot more visible and has been featured in the coats' outer layers.

3. THE TEDDY COAT
Who doesn't want to feel like they're constantly being hugged by a giant teddy bear?! These coats are amazingly warm and snuggly, and can look surprisingly chic. The one below I got for a steal of £11 in Primark about a year ago, but I've linked my favourites below.

4. THE FUR COAT
Okay, so obviously this is a winter classic, and there's so many good ones. From printed ones like my one below, to one colour, to ombre like this one on my Instagram, to pelted like that sell-out New Look one, there's such a variety to choose from. Also can we appreciate how different I look with long hair below?! This photo was taken nearly a year ago now!

5. THE AVIATOR COAT
Last but not least, the aviator jacket. This is my favourite trend because it's just so versatile and easy to style with everything. Last season was all about that black Zara jacket I'm wearing below; this season the aviator's upped the ante in a variety of cute colours, from grey to pastel pink.
