I always found it difficult to layer clothes in the winter without looking like a grandma with a let’s-just-pile-everything-on-’cause-it’s-cold-outside attitude. Thankfully, though, this season layers have been increasingly on-trend as the power of trans-season styling has increased. People have been yearning to make their favourite summer pieces work in the winter, so the dividing lines between seasons have become increasingly hazy. I’ve seen people wearing their favourite RI ripped jeans from summer with a thick jumper and ankle boots, and many have continued to style the slip dress, as I have below, by skillfully using winter layering.
I love keeping the tone of the outfit largely monochrome and just adding a pop of colour with this cute mustard scarf I found lying around the house. Mustard is also a very autumnal colour so I felt that it really added to the autumn/winter vibe of the whole outfit.
More to the point, the outfit is realllly comfortable. Not gonna lie, I’m wearing like 2 pairs of nude coloured tights to keep myself warm, but other than that it’s super comfy. Even these high heeled boots, once I’d worn them in, have managed to become super-comfortable whilst still adding a stylish twist.

To participate a formal party you always need a good dress. For me, I love wearing a black deep v neck dress. It makes me look sexy and it’s comfortable.
