I don’t usually like long sleeve shirts much, but I fell for this Zara piece specifically because of its sleeve, actually. Fluted sleeves are all the rage at the minute – the bigger the better – and as I look for some other “big sleeve” pieces to invest in, I felt this was a pretty good starting point. In this post I’ve dressed the shirt up with my pleather trousers – I think this actually creates a very “high fashion” look. But, you could equally dress it down with jeans. You could keep it skinny like I’ve done, or pile on the flare with bell-bottomed jeans, if you’re bold enough!
To keep with the smart look I added these amazing mid-heel pumps from Office. Very girly and 60s-chic, to contrast with the modern androgyny of the rest of the look.
I thought adding the tie choker, a little straight-from-the-teenage-90s accessory, helped to break up the smartness of the outfit, as well as keeping with the monochromatic colour pallette.
