So I recently came back from holidaying in Fuerteventura (the Canary Islands), and this was the first opportunity I have had to use my new Canon camera properly! I have been very very excited about having a DSLR camera for the first time; the quality on it really is unbeatable! Like literally amazing. I’m in love. Although me (any my parents) are still struggling to grasp all of the different modes and settings (we are by no means professional photographers) so these photos aren’t even anywhere near perfect, we’ve been having fun messing around with it and trying out different ideas! So here are some of my outfits from my holiday….
So this is one of my favourite outfits. I actually wore it previously for New Years Eve – the midi length of the dress make me feel so classy and sophisticated. At 19, it feels nice to be able to see my dress sense changing and evolving as I do, and becoming more elegant and mature.
The dress actually takes inspo from Chanel Oberlin (aka Emma Roberts in hit tv show Scream Queens) as this was one of the dresses she wore on the show. The stylists on that show are literally my inspiration, they’re amazing. But that deserves a whole different blog post.
Shoes: Topshop UK
Necklace: Vintage M&S.
This is another of my favourite outfits mainly because of how stunning this jacket is – I don’t get to wear it often!
Jacket: sold out but the link for the designer is here. Bomber jackets are definitely back for this season and make a great jacket for the transition from winter into spring. I just picked up a new khaki one from Topshop, with similar having been seen previously on the likes of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.
This jumpsuit is one of my favourite ever pieces. Definitely gives the “wow” factor when you wear it. I bought it a couple of years ago from New Look but most of the major high street retailers, especially Topshop, PLT, Missguided will have them when as the summer season approaches. Tropical print really is a must have summer season staple.
Necklace: Vintage Freedom at Topshop
Shoes: bought on holiday in Madrid.
And finally: these trousers are also one of my favourites because they’re just so vibrant and fun. I got these from Topshop last summer, and wide leg trousers are immensely in fashion now as well, but the focus now is more on stripes (check out Topshop’s current range of wide legs).
Top: New Look (went in the sale, similar here.)
Necklace: as before.
So there’s a bit of an insight into my personal style. I would say I like to keep things quirky, but also as elegant as possible. Sorry not many of these pieces are available now – as I was on holiday most of them are from previous summer collections. But I’ll be posting more outfit posts as soon as I can – hopefully with more readily available clothes!
