Sports Luxe…

I’m obsessed with the sports luxe look recently. I love mixing and matching smart, tailored pieces with more casual items, like wearing a midi skirt with trainers. So I’ve dressed down my favourite metallic midi skirt (metallics are all the rage at the moment) in this look. Usually, for an evening look, I’d wear this metallic midi with a cami top and heels, but to make it work in the daytime I’ve dressed it down with a baggy jumper, white trainers and a leather jacket.

Because the metallic midi is so bright in its own right, I’ve kept the rest of the colour pallette simple, sticking to a black and white theme. I wasn’t sure the coarse baggy jumper would work with the more sleek, slinky material of the midi, but I think they fit together in an edgy, different way. Because the jumper itself is so warm, all I needed on top was a plain leather jacket, which, when the look was accessorised with white sneakers, made the style look all the more street.

The only colour I’ve injected into the outfit was this burgundy beanie hat from H&M, which adds a subtle twist. The beanie style keeps the look pretty street and casual, and, although it kind of engulfs my tiny head, I do love it.
