It's that time of year when the sun's (slowly) starting to come out, and it's finally getting a bit warmer (saying that though, it did snow a couple weekends ago...). I've always found transitional dressing hard and I've found my wardrobe just randomly jumps from wearing winter jumpers one day to suddenly wearing little floral spring dresses the next. This year though, I thought I'd actually try and take on the transitional trend.
I thought I'd style up one of my favourite items - a floral dress - so I got this gorgeous number from Warehouse. I like how it's got sleeves so it's still quite warm, which is unusual for spring dresses, and the black colour makes it super easy to wear with tights on colder days. Plus I adore floral dresses as they're just so cute and girly; I have an absolutely massive collection at home that I wear throughout both summer and winter.
'Cause it's still not that warm right now I decided to pair it with my favourite studded boots I've been wearing throughout winter. It's always been my style to take something quite girly and add a bit of edge, so the boots fitted in perfectly for me. To keep warm, on the top I've thrown on one of my favourite jumpers, which is honestly one of the cosiest jumpers I've ever worn. Plus, if you've seen my Instagram recently, I'm having a bit of a pink obsession right now...
Warehouse has such a gorgeous collection of spring dresses at the moment. From ditsy floral prints that are perfect for spring, to the gorgeous stirrup print dress, there's so many different types. There's casual options like the one I'm wearing, or neat shift dresses that are perfect additions to a workwear wardrobe. I'm wearing the Marianne Printed Dress and you can shop Warehouse's shift dress collection here.
