Ah, the transition from summer to autumn. Leaves are turning brown and crunchy, the weather is getting colder (or, in the case of London's heatwave, staying stuck at 22 degrees), and the smell of Halloween pumpkins draws ever nearer. But for me the hardest part is finding a transitional outfit, especially in England. Since the weather changes almost constantly, I find myself packing both sunglasses and an umbrella on most days. So, for this transitional outfit I've picked some warm cigarette pants, which are made of thick cotton, and paired it with a summery-style tshirt (exposing some midriff), but in an autumnal colour. I've added my summer favourites: white trainers, but I've mixed it up with an autumnal-looking brown bag.
This grey duster coat is one of my favourite pieces, and a perfect throw on for the transition to autumn. It's light, but still provides some extra warmth due to its length. Plus, it always helps make any outfit look instantly elegant.
The scarf (which isn't too thick/warm, like my Burberry cashmere sometimes is) is an item I'm loving for days when the weather can change drastically. It's so easy to slip on and off, as well as having a wonderful print which instantly brightens up these grey autumn days. I actually got it for free from a Grazia x Tu event during London Fashion Week. But, unlike most free gifts that you usually get in goody bags, I'm actually loving it!
