When the weather is so cold it’s literally two degrees outside, I’m stunned at how many bloggers continue to not wear tights, wear open shoes and be photographed without coats. I think that while, yes, it may look visually pleasing and fit the aesthetic of your blog, it paints such an unrealistic picture of winter fashion. This unrealistic, unpractical, unattainable issue with blogging is something my posts have been attempting to rectify. So this is one of my favourite outfits, as it’s all of my favourite pieces and, perhaps more importantly, I’m wrapped up really warm, and feel comfortable the whole day. I’m one of those people who in the winter months constantly has a cold, so I think it’s crucial to wrap up warm. Plus, I don’t see being fashionable and being warm as mutually exclusive – as this outfit proves, you can be both.
This white jumper is the warmest item in my wardrobe, and I love the idea of winter whites, so I whenever I wear it I feel all snuggly and warm. I’ve paired it with my leather leggings because they’re my warmest trousers – I couldn’t wear them in the summer because they’re also lined so I’d get ridiculously hot.
To add some colour to my outfit I’ve paired this with some beautiful autumnal tones, as you can see in this gorgeous long boyfriend coat (yes, my long coat obsession is back) and my bright yellow satchel – which also makes a perfect uni bag!
To complete the look I added, of course, my favourite Zara boots, which I wear practically everyday. And, of course, a pom pom beanie. Couldn’t have a winter outfit without one!
